BFSG Supports Aerospace Bristol’s Easter Activities
During the Easter week, BFSG setup underneath Concorde at Aerospace Bristol museum to showcase the world of virtual flying. With our club computer humming and a dozen dedicated members on hand, we welcomed everyone to try our simulator.
Our club members were busy throughout the week, helping visitors practice their first takeoffs and landings. The real highlight was our custom Bristol Filton Landing Challenge. We invited visitors to jump into the pilot’s seat of a Cessna 152 and attempt a landing at the virtually recreated Filton airfield as it looked before its closure. The visitor had just a few minutes to steady their approach and try for a “butter-smooth” touchdown.
A massive thank you to the BFSG members who volunteered their time to make this week a success. Thank you for the opportunity and invite from Aerospace Bristol too.
If you missed us this time, we meet every fourth Sunday of the month at Aerospace Bristol—come along and take to the virtual skies with us!
