John James Bristol Foundation

Our group is delighted that we received funding from the John James Bristol Foundation to purchase a new high‑performance computer, a vital enhancement to our simulation capabilities.

The John James Bristol Foundation is a long‑standing charitable organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people across Bristol. Since its establishment, the Foundation has awarded more than £48 million in grants to local projects, supporting initiatives in areas such as children and young people, education, health, community programmes, and social welfare. BFSG is proud to be among the organisations they have chosen to support.

For BFSG, this funding represents a significant boost. A high‑performance computer will allow us to run flight simulators at their full potential, ensuring smoother graphics, more realistic flight dynamics, and a richer learning experience for our members.

The grant also strengthens our ability to foster the spirit of community within the group. BFSG is not just about flying—it’s about building camaraderie, exchanging expertise, and inspiring all generations of aviation enthusiasts.

With the support of the John James Bristol Foundation, we can continue to grow as a hub for learning, innovation, and shared passion for flight.
